"Mike" Jackson aka James Michael Jackson, passed away at Gotlieb after his car slid out of control on the curve eastbound just east of River Road on Grand about 6pm. It had just started raining so the surface was slick. He was less than a half mile from home. It was July 11, 1969. 6 weeks before his Sr year. He was 3 months into his 18 year on the planet. Survived by his Paternal grandparents Bill & Dorothy Jackson of Peoria, His father Richard of South Bend, his mother Joan of RG, and 3 brothers - Gregg Dave and William all of whom attended East.

I'm pretty sure Mike died from inuries received in a car accident over the summer of 1969. I remember people talking about it during our senior year. There is an In Memory photo of him in our senior yearbook, so he passed before we graduated.
