Denise and I had a long friendship which ended with her death in 2013.  Sorry she won't be there for the fifty-year reunion but we can raise a glass in her honor at the dinner. She would appreciate that as we shared some fun and funny moments together as drinking buddies. Rest In Peace good friend.

Denise was a fun/funny girl from my memories of her at EL.  As I recall, Driver's Ed had three students at a time.  I don't recall who our third 'student team member' was, but I was with Denise Sophomore year.  Mr. Hilderbrand was our teacher.  Poor Denise struggled with the concept of driving a car.  At one point about half way through the course, Hilderbrand nicknamed Denise "Crash Kelso".  She kept backing into fences.  And Hilderbrand said that she killed more rubber traffic cones than anyone else.  She was slightly embarrassed, but always a good sport about it all.  We called her "Crash Kelso" for a while, and she always laughed freely and enjoyed the fun of it.  What a nice person she was, and what a good-hearted nature she had.  RIP, "Crash".  Many think of you and miss you!
