Sorry that my good friend Kris Petersen passed away recently. Our relationship over many years proves that men and women can be friends. Got a chance to speak with her right before her death from MS and admired her bravery. The last 25 years of her life were difficult due to her struggles with Multiple Sclerosis but she persevered. She and her husband Bill loved to travel and attend Indiana Pacer games. Farewell Kris.

Some good news: Randy Rayniak and I were reacquainted at the 30 year reunion and married in 2006. Best thing that ever happened to me.
Denise and I had a long friendship which ended with her death in 2013. Sorry she won't be there for the fifty-year reunion but we can raise a glass in her honor at the dinner. She would appreciate that as we shared some fun and funny moments together as drinking buddies. Rest In Peace good friend.
Ed and I became very good friends beginning in junior high when he and his family moved into the area. We were on the undefeated eighth grade Main school basketball team. We both loved the Beatles--like most of our classmates--and I have fond memories of sitting in the bus with Ed after another win and singing Beatles songs.
Good friend, good guy. So sorry to hear of his passing.
After seeing Donna at the thirty-year reunion, I’m sure she still looks great.
Hello Donna. Hope you are well. And hope to see you at the fifty.
Thanks Pat for the post about Johnny. He was our catcher on the Hawks Pony League team and we were on the golf team together at East Leyden. I knew he died young but did not know how young.
Marlene died in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2002. My favoriter recollection of her is the time that Rick Kasser, Denise Kelso, Marlene and myself spent part of the night at Miss Lydigsen's house in Maywood drinking after a basketball game senior year. It was the first time I drank. Thank you for the memories and your friendship. You will be missed but not forgotten at the reunion.
I went to junior high school and high school with Donna. Lovely girl. Very quiet and soft spoken. My favorite memory of Donna is the time that Theresa, Donna, Barry Plier and a few others went downtown to see the Midnight showing of Woodstock at the end of the school year after graduation 1970. I remember walking around in downtown Chicago and it was warm and breezy and we didn't have a care in the world. Great memory.
Barry died suddenly of a heart attack in 2014. Wish you could be with all your Leyden friends this September. Miss you my good friend.
